Now for a totally unique intimate wedding venue! The urban chic setting with industrial accents creates an atmosphere where modern elegance meets laid-back charm. The crowning jewel is undoubtedly the rooftop area, offering spectacular views of the city’s skyline.
I had the pleasure of photographing Kait and Nick’s summer 2021 outdoor wedding that took place right here on the rooftop of San Francisco’s BiteUnite.
BiteUnite is not your typical wedding venue – and that’s what makes it so unique and special. For one thing, it’s rare to find outdoor, rooftop wedding venues in San Francisco.
Also, as a co-cooking space and café, it provides an intimate food-centric atmosphere, perfect for smaller celebrations. The modern, industrial-chic interior was the ideal backdrop for our couple’s stylish yet understated big day.
As it’s located right in the heart of San Francisco’s bustling Mission District, we couldn’t resist stepping outside for some street shots. Talk about dynamic! The urban landscape combined with pops of colorful murals made for some seriously jaw-dropping images. Plus, the happy couple got to share their love with the city vibe all around them.

About BiteUnite for weddings
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The industrial-chic interior decked out with fairy lights created the perfect vibe for Kait and Nick to say “I do.”
The semi-private rooftop space allowed for incredible, panoramic views of San Francisco. You can really escape the hustle and bustle of the Mission District, enjoying the peace and quiet far away from the noisy streets.
One of the coolest things about getting hitched at BiteUnite is that you can enlist the help of their resident chefs to create a delicious and tailored menu for your special day.
Kait & Nick opted for an array of global flavors that awed every taste bud. Think mouthwatering street food-inspired canapes, satay chicken skewers, darling sliders, scrumptious fried chicken and delectable side dishes – simple fare, elevated.
You can even take part in pre-wedding cooking classes with your partner or bridal party for some extra bonding time!
The folks at BiteUnite ensured every detail was taken care of – from supplying all the necessary equipment to providing customizable decor options. As this was a 4th of July wedding, we had a lot of fun with photos at the end of my coverage time with pinwheels.
All in all, getting married at BiteUnite is a one-of-a-kind experience that truly fuses love, creativity, and gastronomical delight.
Kait and Nick’s wedding was an ode to their love for each other and their passion for the city they call home. It will forever be etched in my memory as an incredibly fun and tasteful occasion. I was completely in awe of that stunning, even light we got on this day – we lucked out big time.
If you’re looking for an alternative intimate wedding venue that speaks to the foodie and fun-lover in you, BiteUnite in San Francisco should definitely be on your radar!
Be sure to reach out directly to the manager, as bookings here are on a case-by-case basis and there isn’t a lot of public info about weddings but they can open up the rooftop for such events. Happy planning, lovebirds!
